Positive: Room was clean and spacious The veranda is a great resting area, both during day and in the evening. They were snacks 24/7 and coffee The receptionist was very kind and helpful Breakfast was quite complete
Negative: It takes a long time for the hot water to come to the shower (but it finally comes so it's okay). There was not much pressure though. It's a detail but the bathroom was not nicely finished, this could be easily fixed. The sauna wasn't hot enough so we didn't end up using it but we enjoyed the hot tub

Negative: Hot tubs were not clean. A good number of floating things were in it so we did not get in. Was looking forward to the hot tubs, but the sauna was a good replacement.

Positive: We arrived at Hotel Kvika after 5 days on the road. Its location is very strategic: close to Road 1 but at the same time far enough to be immersed in silence. Upon our arrival, the owner was incredibly kind and attentive to all our needs, providing us with information about the area and suggestions for local places and necessities, making our stay extremely comfortable. We stayed at the hotel in December, with only a few other visitors, and were able to enjoy the stunning surrounding landscape in total peace, both through the windows of the main lounge and from the panoramic room near the entrance, which offers an almost 360-degree view of the scenery and the night sky—all from the comfort of a heated space with cozy seating. The real highlight was the sauna and the hot tubs with 40°C water in the backyard, where we soaked until late at night in complete silence, surrounded by snow and under the starry sky. The continental breakfast was classic, well-stocked, and plentiful. The room was huge, with a beautiful bathroom and a spacious shower, extremely clean and comfortable. One of the best hotels we stayed at during our trip, where we were welcomed most warmly, all at an extremely affordable price. When we return to Iceland, we will definitely make another stop at Hotel Kvika!

Positive: The hotel is very nice that you always have coffee or hot chocolate and cookies at the reception as a treat. The hotel is also in a great position for trips around the Golden Circle. The rooms are large enough. There is a sauna and a hot tub available for 24hours. It is great area for northern lights!
Negative: If there is anything to improve, it would be the quality of cleaning. But it is definitely not something that would deter me from visiting again. We would be very happy to visit here again. The price-quality ratio is probably the best we could get in Iceland.

Positive: Excellent quiet location, comfortable beds, clean room, great breakfast and other hotel facilities (they do have an outdoor tub, but we didn't try it, maybe next time). Also we loved the little orangery where you can sit and have a snack and glance outside at the gorgeous Icelandic scenery. Should also be great for seeing the aurora. The hotel staff is great and provide you with excellent tips for your travels (we got a great tip on where to purchase real quality wool garments, thanks again!)
